New York Times Letter to the Editor

Last year, I had a unique perspective on a topic that the New York Times had recently covered: limiting the number of straight people in gay softball leagues. I wrote a letter to the editor, and it was published in the Sunday sports section.

Creative Design Booklet

For an applications for print publishing graduate course, we had to design a 16-page booklet about one word. Coming from Maine, I chose the word "snow." Each page had a specific task associated with it: use only text to represent snow, design the definition of snow, make a collage inspired by snow, layout a poem about snow, etc.

Contest Submission

During the 2008 election, Boston Globe columnist Alex Beam held a "Palin-drome" contest, seeking the most creative palindromes about Sarah Palin. Palindromes read the same forward or backward. I have highlighted my name to help you easily find my submission to the conetest.
